Interior walls
They are slowly going in. These walls will not get dry wall. Here is the OSB that will go under the tongue and groove boards.
Log Home here we come!
If we could we would have made this any actual full log home. It just isn't in the cards for us for a few reasons and truthfully that is ok. We have started the long process of adding the log siding. I can't wait to see how it looks when it's done. The color is a little bright right now because it's been treated with stains and sealants but the color should mellow after a few seasons of being weathered.
I love this view. It makes it feel real to me finally.

Corner Posts
We got the siding and the process is starting. Here are the corner posts that make the siding all work together.
My front yard
Jesse has been spending a lot of time evening out the ground around the house to get ready for having a yard in the spring. I can't wait to see green grass instead of brown mud!
Our furry friends
Here is furry friend #1 Kayla with our furry friend #2 Nate. (He'll give me heck about saying that later.) Kayla is the only furry friend that will probably ever be allowed in our house since Steve is not a "pets in the house" kind of guy. It was sure fun having her around for a few days though. She's adorable!!!
The house that coil built
That's what T-Bone says anyway. Steve and I both like the look of windows and doors wrapped in coil. It's big at the beach, but there it is usually white. We saw it all over Montana when we went on our honeymoon. Out there it was often blue or green to match the tin roof. We just love the blue. (If you don't like blue you may not ever want to visit me. It's a pretty common theme throughout!) There is a lot of coil fascia and a lot of soffit on this house.
Floors
Here is the very first installment of flooring in my home. Jeff is ready to go with my tile. Oh that is if I ever pick any. Up until this point I hadn't seen any that was even close to what I wanted. Apparently though, Lowes has a whole chart with tile that no one ever seemed to find important enough to tell me about. My darn contractors!
Flappin in the breeze
Again, thanks to the hurricanes my house needs a temporary fixture, a tarp. Without it the strong winds might huff and puff and blow my house in.
Bringin' it in...
Gotta have electricity and water. With all these hurricanes and tropical storms you would think we would have learned to do without it but that is definitely not the case. Here is the trench that will bring in all my necessities, including cable. lol
Warm and Toasty Piggies
I am so excited to have radiant heat in our floors. Here is the tubing that makes me have warm piggies.
